Back in September we were invited to attend the launch of Old City Kitchen & Bar located on Missenden Rd, Newtown. To this day that event was hands down the best launch that the crew and I have attended.
The space itself was quite large and stunning to look at with a marble topped bar, timber feature walls, a long terrace overlooking the main street and a private function space, there was no doubt in our minds that whether you were coming for a casual drink, a one on one dinner or a group booking Old City had the space to accommodate.
We were served beautiful looking and tasting cocktails and the food was absolutely sensational with recipes coming from many places across the Mediterranean eastern shore.
Rawsons Restaurant was a great find in the middle of The Epping Club. We walked in not quite knowing what to expect – would this be your standard casual-fish-and-chips-style club dinner venue? We were unsure, but excited to find out!
In our time we’ve been fortunate enough to go to many beautiful places in Sydney and the main foyer to this RSL club was up there! It was absolutely spectacular - think chandeliers, a big plush circular lounge positioned in the middle space and a grand piano being softly played by a professional pianist. Before we entered the restaurant we knew this place was going to be different to what we had expected.
