CAFFE ROMA, POTTS POINT

There are only a handful of restaurants in Sydney that I can say I have a long and colorful history with and Caffe Roma is one of them.

This restaurant and I, we’ve been through a lot! Awkward first dates, catch up’s with friends, work functions and even break ups. But after all of the ups and downs I keep going back, you know why? Because it’s my little slice of Italian Heaven.

From the fairy lights and greenery, candles and music, you’ll feel like you’ve teleported from the busy streets of Sydney, directly into the picturesque streets of Rome.

Besides me these guys have had all types of visitors, from local celebrities to international guests, politicians, students, residents to anyone who can appreciate the authenticity of a good quality Italian meal.

On the inside the walls are a deep shade of red displaying large pieces of modern art and mirrors. Each table is covered with pieces of butcher’s paper and a set of crayons to keep you amused whilst waiting for your meal.

Off the menu you’ll be able to pick one or many traditional Italian dishes that range from pizza, pasta, breads and dessert. Everything is reasonably priced, but I will warn you that the mains meals are quite large – I’ve found for two people it’s best to order one main and two entrees.

There are no shortage of drinks, as you will be able to enjoy Italian or house wine, beer, spirits, cocktails or soft drink.

The cocktail menu is filled with a list of concoctions that we all know and love that range between $12.50 - $18.00.

They are able to cater for groups of up to 25 people, however group bookings larger than 10 need to be organised in advance.

They're open 7 days a week 6:00pm till late - which is perfect for the night owls as you won’t be rushed out of the door.

If you haven’t been here before you most definitely should put it on your to do list. After one meal here you certainly will feel like a part of the Caffe Roma Family.
