BURASARI RESORT & SPA, PATONG

When I think Thailand the very first thing that comes to mind is a tropical oasis - bright and vibrant colours, cocktails by the pool and the sound of waves crashing in the distance.

When booking accommodation at new places there’s always the risk that the resort or hotel might not be as appealing in person as it is online.

Burasari Resort, looked amazing.

After doing an extended amount of research on Instagram,Trip Advisor and Booking.com - we booked this resort knowing we would be in for a real treat.

We arrived at 10 pm local time on the 27th December. As you can imagine the airport was chaos, but our transfer to the resort was not! Our driver was there holding up a sign with our names and a bag full of refreshments. He was our life saver!

When we arrived at the resort the Burasari team were extremely welcoming and so excited to show us around the vicinity.

We stayed in a twin share standard room with a balcony. It was beautiful – crisp white sheets with a stunning flower arrangement displayed, welcoming us to Burasari Resort & Spa. For me, that was more than enough to make me feel at ease with where we chose to stay.

There was modern art displayed on the walls, a retro colour scheme and they even have universal power sockets. This came in very handy as we were able to charge our phones and straighten our hair at the same time – priorities, right?

Over the following days we explored the resort and we were taken back by the amount of facilities that were available to us. The resort was much bigger than we had expected and was in a prime location.

The beach was a 150 metres walk from the front of the resort. Bangla Road was a 7 minute walk away and we had friends staying throughout Patong, all of which we were able to get to in under 10 minutes.

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we were treated like family. Everyone from the cleaners to the chef, bar staff to senior management, all made us feel so welcomed and comfortable staying there.

Some of the facilities available at the resort are listed below.

Pool

Not one, but TWO large spectacular swimming pools. One of these pools had a swim up bar. I spent many days here sipping pina coladas, catching some rays and listening to some sweet tunes pumping through their pretty amazing sound system. Kantok Restaurant

Open for room service, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Every day we enjoyed the buffet breakfast. They had a selection of food that was out of this world. My favourite thing – the freshly made omelettes, @stackerslee_eats was the noodle soup station (Yes you read that correctly, I’m talking about the breakfast buffet). We enjoyed many meals here for both lunch and dinner. We were able to try some traditional Thai food but also pick things from a more westernised menu.

Cooking classes - @stackerslee_eats enjoys cooking, more so than I. So she decided to take a cooking class to learn how to make traditional duck curry.

Just For You, Juice Bar

Trust me when I say, after one night on Bangla Road this is the only kind of bar you’ll be looking for. Many mornings were spent here “Sippin on Gin & Juice” – I’m joking, no gin just lots of cold, refreshing and rejuvenating vitamins that we (I) really did need.

I have so much to say about this spa treatment. In my thirty years of existence I have had my fair share of massages, but nothing in my life time has come close to this. (Do yourself a favour and click on the link for more information on spa treatments)

I met so many wonderful people that I would love to go back just to have a chat to. We could not have asked for any better customer service than what we received.

If you are thinking of travelling to Patong and are looking for a resort to stay at, Burasari will not disappoint you.

Every aspect of this resort exceeded any expectations we had placed upon it through images or reviews we read on social media.

We started our 2017 by staying here and I am so happy with that choice.

A big thank you to the Burasari team! Look forward to seeing you again soon!
