LUXURY SPA, BURASARI RESORT PATONG

When people say “Oh I had the best spa treatment” I often think a scrub down followed by an oil massage.

This is my perception of a spa treatment based off many of my past experiences. Don’t get me wrong they’ve been great, but I’ve never walked out of a treatment and felt the WOW factor.

Staying at Burasari over the Christmas/New year period was perfect for me as I needed more than anything to unwind after a chaotic 2016.

We stayed at the resort for six full days and these six days were by no means quiet.

We took full advantage of the resort’s location as it was only 150 metres from the beach and less than ten minute’s walk from Bangla Road and the markets.

After six days of walking, dancing, trekking and eating, on our final night we decided to treat ourselves to the luxury spa.

This 90 minutes was unlike anything I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing in my lifetime.

The room was dimly lit, two massage beds were in the centre and a large marble bath was in the corner. My first thought - this would be the most amazing honeymoon activity.

We were seated by the staff in a luxurious bed of cushions whilst they gave us the most amazing foot scrub using fresh kaffir lime and sea salt.

Once this was completed, we were escorted to the sauna to detoxify our bodies and clear our senses in the spa’s steam room.

By the time these two things were completed we were undoubtedly more relaxed than you can even begin to imagine and we hadn’t even had the massage yet!

As we laid down the sound of the singing bells quietly echoed in the background (The spa uses these to provide a sound of balancing to prepare the body) little did we know, this was the sound of the beginning of the best massage of our lives.

The room smelt amazing, the room temperature was perfect and the staff were extremely professional throughout the entire treatment.

What a way to end our Thailand experience! The good news is, even if you are not staying at the Burasari Resort, you can book a treatment through their website just for the spa!

If you are going to Patong and have already booked your accommodation elsewhere, you should still place the Burasari Spa on your to do list, as you will not be disappointed with the experiences.
