It’s always much easier to write about other people than it is to write about yourself, but here goes! Let me tell you a little bit about me.

Around five years ago I was feeling lost with no sense of direction. I was unsure of who I was or what I wanted to do. I was twenty-five years old, extremely unhappy in most aspects of my life and financially I was in ruins. I had flown the coop at 18, was technically an adult and I was determined that I could manage this thing called life all on my own, even if that meant eating noodles in a cup four days a week for dinner.

Note: I could have gone home to my parents at any time, but I didn’t want to because I’m stubborn like that.

I read many self-help books and spent hours researching “Ways to be happy" It was only when I finally made the conscious decision to make changes, I noticed that the things around me started to change. I realised that if I wanted a better life I needed to make that happen – me, myself and I.

Happiness to me has never been about “things” it’s always been about new experiences and positive interactions. Happiness is a state of mind and so many external things can impact that. So now instead of focusing on being happy, I focus on being grateful, because every day that we are here on this earth is a blessing and no matter how hard your current situation may be, there is always someone worse off wishing they were in your shoes.

I myself enjoy travelling and exploring foreign cities. I love learning about different cultures and trying new foods, but most of all I love hearing other people’s stories and understanding how they got to be where they are today. I am based in Sydney but have written blogs internationally and for locations right across New South Wales. If I do venture out of the city, I make sure that all of the places I go to know I’m coming “From Sydney, with love” (see what I did there?)

I have been published nationally and internationally on a number of websites and social medias accounts for companies such as Thought Catalog, Mamamia, Topdeck Travel.

I hope that by visiting my website you’ve been educated, informed or enlightened.
