BLOODY MARY'S DARLINGHURST
Everyone is counting down the days for when we can exit hibernation mode, say goodbye to our anti-social selves and reunite with good company, good tunes and thirst quenching beverages. Majority of us imagine this initial “Catch up”, to be in a chilled environment, one that can perhaps cater up to a group of up to thirty people.
On a recent stroll through Darlinghurst, I stumbled across a little something that stopped me right in my tracks.I found Bloody Mary’s Sydney.
Bloody Mary’s Sydney is a newly established Bar/Restaurant located on Victoria Street in Darlinghurst.
They are open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner 7 days a week.
The decor is beautiful, from the plush cushioned seating out front, to fresh white interior extending all the way out to the Courtyard.
Bloody Marys’ Is true to its name with up to ten different types of Bloody Mary’s on offer. The Tomato juice in made in house, giving your taste buds a refreshing treat.
In addition to that, they have a variety of Cocktails on the Menu, Cocktails like you have never seen before! - Every Cocktail that is served looks like it should be on display in an art exhibition.
The Bloody Mary’s and Cocktails are all reasonably priced, with the average price of a Cocktail being around the $17 mark. "What about the Bloody Marys?" All I’m going to say is – You have to see it, to believe it – Incredible. (Prices range from $6 - $25)
Feeling peckish? There is a whole menu here filled with American inspired food that's bound to tickle your fancy.
I had the Bloody Mary's Beef Burger –Vintage cheddar, Relish, Pickles with Fries ($19). This is was quite a large serving. I made a point in eating every last bite (Including the fries). I was full after 3/4 the burger, but it just tasted way too good to go to waste. Two words - Food Coma. (I regret nothing, it was the best burger I’ve had in a very long time) For those who are in recovery mode (Maybe one too many drinks from the night before) Bloody Mary's get it - They understand that the struggle is very real. Stepping into the daylight was a painful experience and now all you can think about is finding some kind of Miracle Hangover Cure, to make it all better.
Guess what? “The Hangover Cure" Spicy Baked Beans, Bacon, Chorizo, Poached Eggs on Sourdough Toast ($25) is listed right there on the menu - Problem Solved, your mission has been accomplished.
Service is quick and the staff are amazing. You’ll notice there is a hint of the U.S of A in every part of this place, the courtyard being my favorite spot.
Upon request, the courtyard can hold functions for up to 30 people or (Like me) you and some friends might like to head down there on a Sunday afternoon to embrace the good food, good company and great tunes. (DJ is on from 1pm - 4pm)
Thanks Bloody Mary’s Sydney – You are an all-round winner in my books!
