PARIDA BONDI, BONDI BEACH

Located directly across from Sydney’s iconic Bondi Beach, Parida Bondi is in the perfect location for you to stop by and enjoy some delicious food off their menu whether that be for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

This cosy Bondi restaurant has wooden décor throughout, greenery hanging from the roof and large open windows overlooking the ocean. For a casual dining experience this restaurant is perfect.

Parida is quite well known amongst locals for its breakfast and lunch options with their smashed avo and lamb burger being the crowd favourites. We decided to do something a bit different and head down on a Friday evening with a group of 8 to try one of their banquets which was extremely well priced given the location ($49pp, minimum two people).

The $49pp banquet included the following dishes:

Bread & Dips s/with beetroot, hummus, guacamole, balsamic olive oil

Haloumi & Watermelon s/with almonds, drizzled with balsamic (v)

Crispy Furikake Calamari s/with lemon dressing

Polenta Chips Truffle Mushrooms s/with crispy Kale

Crackling Pork Belly s/with crispy sage & onion, pomme pure, apple jus

Roasted Duck Breast s/with toasted almond crumb, buttered cabbage , cranberry

We also tried:

Chorizo Croquettes s/with spiced mayo

Popcorn Chicken s/with Pimento salt

Cheesy Stuffed Lamb Meatballs s/with tomato & oregano sauce, crispy onions.

The serving sizes were not overly large however they were the perfect size portions for the amount of people who were eating. We all finished the banquet and were extremely full.

Note: Adding on extra’s wasn’t necessary but we couldn’t visit and not try the popcorn chicken. #noregrets

From the banquet the stand out dish was the crackling pork belly! No matter where you go ordering this dish is always a risk, as it has the potential to either be really amazing, crispy and crackling (like the name of the dish implies it will be) or soggy, we were delighted that this was cooked to perfection and would make the trip out to Bondi just for another plate.

The service we received was fantastic. The staff were happy to suggest a whole range of wines that would best suit our meals and our dishes started to arrive not long after we had ordered.

If you’re in Bondi this place is great value for money, in a prime location and the food was of high quality. I definitely will be coming back, next time probably for brunch to try their famous smashed avo.
